Activities on the land

There are hiking trails all through

the 165 acres of land and access

There are firepits and benches all over the property and many places to sit, relax and enjoy nature. Many people who come pray, practice meditation, yoga and many other spiritual forms on the land - feeling nature supports and enhances their experience and connection.

There’s the opportunity and facility for various sports: badminton, horseshoes, volleyball, canoeing, swimming in the lake, fishing, cross country skiing, running ... and don’t forget to walk the Labyrinth!

Outdoor Meeting Space

The Shire has many beautiful out

door spots to meet, hold workshops, gather with friends, family and colleagues. On top of the Hardwood ridge there is a large beautiful open clearing, by the ponds there are benches and fire pits set up and in the forest there are open clearings waiting to support people involved in meaningful work. In 2006 Heartwood came with the Reach program and built us an amazing Labyrinth at the end of the airstrip. Click here for some pictures of places on the land.
